At 20% for the first 12 months of each subscription, before tax, assuming nobody cancels. Some will — everyone's do. An annual referral pays the whole term upfront and their renewal pays nothing; a monthly referral pays each month until their 12 months are up, which is why the first year ramps and then holds flat. Session Packs carry no commission.

The offer

Three things, no small print.

20% for the first 12 months

Every payment your referral makes in their first year with us. One rate, the same for every partner, published here rather than negotiated one deal at a time.

A free Maestro account

You can't recommend a tutor you haven't spoken to, so yours is on us for your first 12 months — the same window as the commission.

Your audience tries it free

Three full spoken sessions, no card, no trial-expired wall in the middle of a video. Nobody has to take your word for it before they hear Elena.

Who this is for

You'll recognise yourself, or you won't.

CiaoTutor is Italian only, for B1 to C1 learners who understand more than they can say. If your audience is beginners, this won't convert for you — and we'd both rather find that out now.

Citizenship and heritage

You make videos about jure sanguinis, comune paperwork, or reconnecting with a family language. Your audience has a deadline and a reason — the two things that make someone practise daily.

Expats and relocation

Your people have already moved, or are about to. They understand Italian at the bar and freeze at the questura. That gap is exactly what this fixes.

Italian teachers and tutors

You teach, and your students disappear between lessons. Elena isn't a replacement — she's the reps they won't book you for, and it makes your hour worth more.

Language learning creators

You've reviewed the apps and know the intermediate plateau is where they all stop helping. This is the one built specifically for the far side of it.

Copy-paste assets

Everything you need to post today.

Take these and make them yours — they're drafts, not scripts to read aloud. Your audience can tell the difference, and so can we.

I understood Italian fine. Speaking it was the problem — the pause, the wrong ending, the moment someone switches to English. I've been using CiaoTutor: you actually talk, it corrects you without breaking the conversation, and it remembers the mistakes you keep making. Link below if you're stuck in the same place.

If your Italian has plateaued at 'I can read it but I freeze when I speak', this is the thing I'd try. 10 minutes of real spoken conversation, then a report of every mistake you made and exercises built from them. Not flashcards. Talking.

The hardest part of learning Italian isn't grammar, it's finding someone patient enough to let you be slow. That's what CiaoTutor is for — an Italian tutor you can talk to at 7am who never sighs.

You know the feeling: you can read Italian, you can follow a podcast, and then someone asks you a question and nothing comes out. That gap is a speaking problem, not a vocabulary problem, and you only close it by speaking. I've been using CiaoTutor. You talk to Elena — out loud, real conversation, in Italian. She corrects you on the side without stopping you, and afterwards you get every mistake you made, plus exercises built from those exact errors. It's free to try, three full sessions, no card. Link's in the description.

I want to talk about the intermediate plateau, because I lived on it for about two years. Here's what it looks like. You understand almost everything. You read the news. You watch films with Italian subtitles and you're fine. And then you go to Italy, someone asks you something simple, and you produce three words and a shrug — and they switch to English to be kind, which makes it worse. The reason is boring: understanding and producing are different skills, and every app I'd used trains the first one. Recognising a word in four options is not the same as reaching for it while someone's waiting. What actually fixed it for me was speaking, badly, every day, to someone who wouldn't rush me. That's what CiaoTutor does. You have a real spoken conversation with Elena in Italian, ten minutes, about whatever you want. She catches your mistakes as you go, but silently — she doesn't stop the conversation to correct your subjunctive, because that's what kills your confidence. Afterwards you get the whole thing back: every error, scored across speaking, listening, reading and writing on the CEFR scale, and exercises generated from the exact mistakes you just made. And she remembers them next time. It's built for B1 to C1 — if you're a beginner, honestly, start elsewhere and come back. Three free sessions, no card. Link below.

Need a screenshot of something specific — the session report, the progress dashboard, an exercise being graded? Ask in your application and it'll come back with your link.

Terms

In plain words.

Commission20% of every payment a referred customer makes in their first 12 months. The same rate for every partner, published, with no tier and nothing to negotiate.
Attribution60-day cookie, last click. If two partners send the same person, the most recent link wins.
PayoutsHeld 30 days, then paid monthly on the 1st. €50 minimum balance; below that it rolls over. PayPal or SEPA, your choice.
ClawbackCommission is reversed on refund or chargeback. An annual referral pays out before the money is really ours, so the hold is not negotiable.
ExclusionsSession Packs carry no commission — they are the overflow bucket, priced too close to what they cost to run. No self-referral, and no paid ads on the CiaoTutor brand name. Everything else — video, newsletter, community, organic social — is fair game.
Ending itEither of us, any time, in writing. Commission that has already cleared the hold is still paid.
